BASIC DESCRIPTION OF THE PERGOLA STRUCTURE

The bioclimatic pergola is made of top-quality extruded aluminium profiles that are treated with a powder colour. The most important part of the pergola includes transverse and longitudinal beams sized 225 x 50 x 120 mm. Another indispensable part of the bioclimatic pergola comprises aluminium slats. The size of the extruded profile of which the pergola slat is made is 202 x 47 mm. The last important component includes posts with the size of 120 x 120 mm. The thickness of walls of all profiles ranges around 4-5 mm, so the pergola is very robust and resistant to a great load. The aluminium slats may be loaded up to 900 N/m2. The greatest advantage of the entire system is an option of closed slats even in the winter period (we will provide you with the exact information at a request).

COLOURS OF ALUMINIUM STRUCTURE AND SLATS

The entire structure of the bioclimatic pergola is treated with a top-quality powder colour from an Austrian manufacturer Tiger Drylac with a 5-year guarantee. The surface treatment is carried out exclusively in a paint room that owns both certificates - Qualicoat and GSB. The surface of the pergolas is available in matted and gently structured versions (FSM) for classic RAL colours. Your pergola will gain an exclusive look using the special Decoral technology. This design effect is reached by applying a special powder colour with the subsequent ink sublimation from the transfer foil in which the painted object is located. This foil is able to transfer decorations, such as wood, granite, marble or other atypical patterns. A surcharge is billed for this surface treatment at a request and the delivery deadline is extended. BASIC DIMENSIONS AND OPTIONS OF PERGOLA CONNECTING

Basic size of the bioclimatic pergola with a 1-module solution with 4 posts is 6,100 x 6,000 mm and the maximum size of the solution with 6 posts are 6,100 x 9,000 mm. The height may reach up to 3,000 mm. So there is a possibility to connect more modules and thus create a roofed area of any size. According to the way of mounting the pergola may be built on 4 posts (a free-standing version) or as partly anchored to the house wall with a lower number of posts. RAINWATER DRAIN IN A FOLDING PERGOLA

The system of bioclimatic pergolas guarantees perfect drainage of rainwater inside the aluminium structure. Aluminium slats are always sloped to the side where the linear drive is located (the slat slope is 2°). Drain posts with an integrated plastic tube or a flexible hose are also located on this side. The water drain hose may be invisible (inside the post and directed under the floor) or visible (on the post side with a free connection). So the space under the pergola will always be perfectly dry.

STRUCTURE OF SCREEN ROLLER BLINDS ROLLETIX

Screen roller blinds Rolletix belong among the original accessories of the Placeo bioclimatic pergola. They serve as protection against the weather conditions (sun, wind or rain) and to protect privacy under the pergola. Screen roller blinds have an aluminium extruded box sized 124.5 x 119.5 mm that has been designed to match your pergola. The dimensions of the guide profile that is fixed with use of stainless steel screws in the pergola web are 45 x 33.7 mm. A PVC insert is located inside the profile that is a part of the so-called ZIP system.

TECHNICAL FABRIC OF SCREEN ROLLETIX ROLLER BLINDS

The fabric of roller blinds comprises glass or polyester fibres with a coating layer of PVC from the leading European manufacturers, Sergé Ferrari and Copaco. The fabric edges are equipped with a “zipper” that is located in a guide profile. Thanks to this ZIP system the screen roller blinds resist up to 72 km/h (20 m/s) of gust wind. The best feature of screen roller blinds includes maintaining of the contact with the environment when looking through the fabric at daylight. To the contrary, the fabric is fully transparent upon the night lighting located under the pergola (so it does not protect your privacy at night). The technical fabric of screen roller blinds is fully maintenance-free.

LIGHTING AND HEATING OF THE PERGOLA SPACE

The most favourite accessories include lighting that may be located on extruded slats or on the transverse and longitudinal beams of the pergolas. It concerns a LED lighting that may be white or colourful. White LED lighting is operated with use of the same remote control device as the entire pergola or roller blinds. The lighting intensity may be regulated at 0%, 33%, 66% and 100%. Colourful LED lighting is operate by a separate device on which you may choose the colour, intensity and other features. Wall electrical heat lamps of various power outputs that we supply in different colours and with interesting accessories serve to heat the pergola space. Heat lamps are supplied with the efficiency from 1,500 W to 2,500 W and the radiation intensity may be selected on the remote control device at 0%, 33%, 66% and 100%.

PERGOLA CLOSURE BY MEANS OF A FRAME-FREE AND FRAMED GLAZING

By glazing your pergola the habitable space of your terrace will be enlarged. You may use frame-free or framed glazing structures. The glass not only protects against rain and wind, but it also maintains warmth. Thanks to these accessories you may use your pergola the whole year round, even when it is freezing outside.

SLAT PERGOLA OPERATION AND ACCESSORIES

The pergola may only be operated electronically with use of two synchronised drives integrated in a single structure (not protruding outside the beam). The control unit of the folding pergolas is located outside the pergola or directly in the load-bearing post. We supply two types of control systems for the entire equipment, i.e. ELERO (a German company, products with a 5-year guarantee) and SOMFY - (a French company, products with a 5-year guarantee) for a surcharge. The pergola is operated with use of a portable remote control device that is supplied in several versions - various numbers of control channels, possibility of scenarios or operation in a certain time. The control system accessories include various types of sensors reacting to weather changes - sun, wind and rain.

DELIVERY DEADLINE AND GUARANTEE OF TILTING PERGOLA

The delivery deadline for this tilting pergola is 8 weeks. Depending on the design, colour, accessories and special requirements it may be extended. The delivery deadline may affect the current production load and installation capacities (you will be notified of such fact upon consultancy and measuring). The pergola installation is carried out by 2-3 assembly technicians who were trained by the supplier. For better handling upon installation, we use special assembly equipment. The installation takes approximately 1-2 days depending on the conditions, building preparedness and accessories. The guarantee period provided by the manufacturer is 5 years and applies to the aluminium structure, its mechanical parts and surface treatment. The guarantee of 60 months applies to the linear drive and the control unit (both Elero and Somfy). The guarantee is only applicable provided that the product is used and maintained in accordance with the instructions included in the user manual (available at a request).

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING OF A FOLDING PERGOLA

This version of pergolas is fully maintenance-free and therefore, it does not require any special maintenance. We recommend to clean the structure and slats time to time with clean water without use of any detergents. The guttering and the drain hole in the upper part of the roof should be cleaned from impurities, such as leaves and other.
